AVDT Non-Anesthesia Dentistry StatementThe Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians does not support non-anesthesia dental procedures on animals. Non-anesthesia dentistry is any dental procedure done on animals without proper general anesthesia to safely provide diagnosis, dental radiographs and treatment of oral disease as well as providing a humane and fear free condition for such procedure. The AVDT wishes to take a strong stance against providing non-anesthesia dentistry to animals by any of our members, candidates of the AVDT or other veterinary professionals world-wide.
