VTS NEEDED — July 1, 2010
Shaker Veterinary Hospital, P.C. (www.shakervet.com) in Albany, NY is looking for a VTS to head up their dental program. Duties include: client education, reviewing estimates, scheduling procedures, dental prophylaxis, oral exams and charting, taking dental radiographs, and preparing discharge packets. Experience with advanced dental procedures is preferred but not required.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN-DENTISTRY AND ORAL SURGERY — June 1, 2010
The Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Dentistry & Oral Surgery service is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic certified veterinary technician. Duties include: performing oral exams & periodontal charting, taking intraoral radiographs, scaling and polishing teeth, providing dental education to students and clients, set up & break down dental surgery procedure room, dental/surgical assisting, sharpening instruments, maintaining dental records, preparing dental impressions, and assisting with dental protocols for research studies. Nursing duties include: venipuncture, catheter placement, urine sample collection, scheduling of special studies, etc.

An Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA Accredited school is required and 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred. Certified Veterinary Technician or eligible to sit for the VTNE. Veterinary dental experience preferred but not required. The candidate chosen must have a genuine interest in dentistry and will be required to work toward obtaining AVDT specialty board certification.
