Continuing Education Opportunity for Technicians

Did you know that 23% of gross income for general practice can be made in the dental department alone?  Most practices average 3-5%. 
We are now offering exclusive hands on, one-on-one training for technicians in dentistry for the general practice.  These classes are limited to 6 people only, so personalized attention will be given.

What will be covered:

  • Oral examination
  • Proper periodontal therapy
  • Instrument use and care
  • Charting
  • Dental Radiography to include positioning and basic anatomy/pathology
  • Marketing skills
  • Doxirobe placement
  • Local Anesthesia techniques
  • Product use and home care for clients

Course:
This one day, 5 hour course will be worth 5 hours of Continuing Education credits. This course will not only help to build business revenue in the dental department, but will also initiate more client awareness and education thus ultimately helping promote better oral health care for our companion animals. 

The cost of this course is $200.  Class size is limited (only 6 people) in order to continue the one-on-one training.  This price includes all class notes, required instruments, snacks, and even lunch!
Class is from 9-2.

Instructors:
The course will be taught by Sara L. Sharp CVT VTS (Dentistry).
Sara has been teaching in the Colorado area for the past 10 years working in conjunction with Pfizer Animal Health.  She is a credentialed veterinary technician who holds a specialty status in dentistry through the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America/ CVTS approved Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians. She has lectured and taught wet labs nationwide with AAHA, AVMA and the Annual Veterinary Dental Forum and has published many articles in assorted journals.  She has worked doing almost exclusively dentistry for the past 22 years in the Denver area.
